On 13th February 2024, we completed and commissioned the Ainamoi project in Kericho, which involved a pipeline extension of 11.24 km, with HDPE pipe diameters ranging from 32mm to 110mm.
This project was implemented in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) under the SDGs Business Verification Survey. The primary objective was to evaluate the performance of SK-KAWANISHI mechanical joint connections in reducing non-revenue water (NRW) in Kenya’s water supply systems.
The pipe laying and joints installation was completed within 38 working days, demonstrating not only the ease of installation but also the efficiency of our joint technology.
Furthermore, the Kericho Water and Sanitation Company reported a 14% NRW rate in the Ainamoi District Metered Area (DMA), providing strong evidence of our product’s effectiveness in reducing water losses.
